•Two long-serving employees at Jones Homes Yorkshire are celebrating a remarkable milestone, as they mark a combined total of 40 years of service with the company. Emma Clayton, the Sales Administration Manager, and Amanda Gerrard, the Office and Marketing Manager, have both progressed through the ranks since they joined the Cleckheaton-based housebuilder from different industries.

Emma's Journey
Emma Clayton began her career at Jones Homes in 2005 as a receptionist after working as a legal case handler. From the very start, she felt that she had found a company where she could grow her career. Emma shared her experience, saying, “I quickly knew I had found a progressive company where I could build my career. I was actively encouraged and supported, first moving into the sales and marketing department as an assistant and then being promoted to my current role in 2020.”
Emma's story reflects the supportive environment that Jones Homes fosters. She expressed her happiness in her role, stating, “I am extremely happy in my role and feel fortunate to work with incredible colleagues in a positive environment. That’s the reason I have stayed with the company for so long.”
Amanda's Path
Amanda Gerrard joined Jones Homes in 2007, after spending more than 20 years in the travel industry. Initially hired as the Personal Assistant to the Regional Director, Amanda was promoted to Office and Marketing Manager within two years. She noted, “I lived close to some Jones Homes developments at the time so I was aware of the company’s excellent reputation for customer service and build quality. When I arrived, I knew instantly that I had made the right move.”
Both Emma and Amanda agree that the supportive atmosphere at Jones Homes has played a significant role in their long careers. Amanda highlighted the encouragement she received from senior management, which helped her build confidence in her abilities. “I can honestly say that I love my job and a large part of that is due to my fantastic colleagues and the caring environment in which I work,” she added.

Jayne Swift, the Sales and Marketing Director, praised Emma and Amanda as “shining examples” of the type of employees who thrive within the company.
