Senior Town Planner
Overview We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join a growing planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded planner to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across sectors including residential, mixed-use, commercial, retail, and strategic land .The successful candidate will play a key role in managing planning applications, advising clients, and supporting junior members of the team while contributing to business development activities . Key Responsibiliti esManaging a wide range of planning projects from inception through to determinatio n.Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentatio n.Providing strategic planning advice to clients across a variety of sector s.Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, consultants, and external partner s.Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contac t.Supporting junior planners through mentoring and technical guidanc e.Attending client meetings, committee meetings, and public consultations where require d.Monitoring changes in planning legislation and polic y.Assisting with business development and identifying new opportunitie s. Requireme ntsMRTPI qualified or working towards chartersh ip.Proven experience within either a planning consultancy, developer, or local authority environme nt.Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and planning poli cy.Experience managing planning applications and client relationships independent ly.Excellent written and verbal communication skil ls.Commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple projects effective ly.Full UK driving licence preferr ed.
