It’s a role that keeps you moving, thinking, and making a real difference every day.</p> <p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p> <p><strong>Security &amp; Site Access</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lock and unlock buildings for daily use and special events</li><li>Be part of a keyholder rota, responding to alarms and callouts&nbsp;</li><li>Carry out regular security checks and liaise with police or contractors when needed</li></ul> <p><strong>Maintenance &amp; Repairs</strong></p> <ul> <li>Tackle basic repairs: light bulbs, door handles, drains, furniture, and more</li><li>Paint, decorate, and help with improvement projects like shelving and noticeboards</li><li>Identify hazards and make safe — you’re the first line of defence against wear and tear</li></ul> <p><strong>Facilities &amp; Utilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support heating, lighting, and water systems,&nbsp;know your way around meters and isolation points</li><li>Keep records for energy use and report any issues</li></ul> <p><strong>General Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>Deliver parcels and move furniture around the site</li><li>Set up rooms for exams, meetings, and community events</li><li>Help manage lost property, post, stationery, and even college vehicles</li><li>Drive when needed (banking runs, minibus support, etc.)</li><li>Be ready to respond to emergencies like fire, flood, or break-ins</li></ul> <p><strong>What You’ll Bring</strong></p> <p><strong>Must-Haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Full, clean driving licence</li><li>Basic numeracy and IT skills</li><li>Willingness to work at height and take on physical tasks</li><li>A flexible, reliable attitude and team spirit</li></ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-Haves:</strong></p> <ul> <li>D1 licence or higher</li><li>Experience in caretaking, maintenance, or facilities roles</li><li>Familiarity with H&amp;S documentation and procedures</li></ul> <p><strong>Ready to Apply?</strong></p> <p>This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected institution where your work truly matters.
