St Peter’s is a simple, but beautiful church in the village of Wawne.

About

The Church of St Peter is a lovely and peaceful place in the East Yorkshire village of Wawne. There has been a place of worship on the site since the 12th century, c.1150 William le Gros gave church of Waghen to Meaux Abbey. There is a weekly Sunday Services, at 10.30am offering a range of conemporary and traditional worship. St Peter’s is a popular church for baptisms and weddings. Families are welcome at all services, particularly on the fourth Sunday of the month for our children’s church. Weekly events: Simple and informal Morning Prayer service on Thursday at 9.00am; Drop-in Community Cafe on Thursdays 9.30am
