The pub is cosy enough and staff are friendly, but the food is shocking in this occasion. I don't know why anybody thinks it's acceptable to serve a customer pigs in blankets that are absolutely frazzled, and an overripe banana. Just bin it. I complained and got a refunded for the piggies, so thank you for that.
Decided to take my poorly mother out for some food, and chose this spoons. The service was shocking, from the staff sat round refusing to bring 'table ordered' drinks to the table, to the attitude of the manager working upstairs who brought the food out. Never felt so uncomfortable in a spoons before. The food was just as bad, had to leave both meals and because all the staff were rude, none of them had even checked to see if the food was ok or collect plates or anything. Never coming back here again, disgusting service.
Went to the Hedley verity today. Food arrived very quickly sandwich was nice and hot but chips were only warm. Drinks didn’t arrive with the food. We finished our food and still no drinks. I asked a member of staff who disappeared and didn’t come back so I went to the bar and the person behind the bar got them for me. Do yourselves a favour go to the stick or twist round the corner to see how it should be done. I won’t be back.
My partner and I came last week, we had a lovely evening, food was good, drinks were great and the vibes were immaculate! All of the staff were lovely, Josh was particularly attentive and helped provide an overall great experience! We will definitely be back!
Me and my partner come here every Sunday morning, and most times it is excellent! Service, food and atmospher is great! However, today we had to move tables due to obnoxiously loud customers (which I understand is not the businesses fault), to which my partner had ordered the food to the table we were previously sat on (which we sat on the table opposite as it was more enclosed) and the waiter came over to the opposite table handing a mug and hot chocolate poweder to which my partner called over and said it was for us, she was confused with the fact that her food was also sent to that table and stormed off. My partner spilt hot chocolate powder whilst the waiter came back- she saw- and walked off, not asking if we wanted another one. To add to this we recieved cold beans with our breakfast along with no egg for the traditional breakfast! Honestly, would prefer a different waitress.
