This one's for you.</strong><br /><br />This is a finance role at heart- reconciliations, variances, making the numbers mean something, but with a strong data flavour. It's not a pure analyst role, and it's not traditional month-end either. It's the bit in between, and that's the whole point.<br /><br />We're working with a fast-growing, market-leading business in Harrogate looking for a <strong>Financial Accountant</strong> to join a close, friendly and genuinely supportive team. If you've got a finance grounding and enjoy taking high-volume data, reconciling it, making it financially meaningful, spotting the variances and telling the story behind the numbers — this could be your next move.<br /><br /><strong>What you'll actually be doing:</strong><br /><ul> <li>Reconciling high-volume data and making it financially meaningful</li><li>Hunting down variances and understanding the <em>why</em> behind them</li><li>Analysing data once it's in the system and turning it into insight</li><li>Working closely with stakeholders across the business to improve performance</li></ul> <strong>What we're really looking for:</strong><br /><ul> <li>A genuine finance background — you understand reconciliations, journals and financial statements</li><li>Strong Excel skills (this one's non-negotiable)</li><li>Someone who enjoys working with data, but from a finance perspective</li><li>A proactive attitude, comfortable in fast, high-volume environments and happy to roll with change</li><li>Kind, collaborative, and a proper team player</li></ul> You might be part-qualified, or a few years into finance and itching for something less routine.
