Welcome to Yorkshire
This British Sandwich Week, from 19th to 25th May, Zizzi is set to delight food lovers with the launch of a new sandwich that combines two popular Italian classics: pizza and panini. This exciting creation, called the Pizzanini, promises to be the ultimate summer lunch for anyone looking for something delicious and different.
Pizzanini Overview
The Pizzanini is a playful twist on traditional pizza, designed specifically for those lunch breaks when something quick yet satisfying is needed. Priced at just £9.95, this fusion sandwich will be available at Zizzi locations across the UK, including eight restaurants in Yorkshire, starting from 19th May. As picnic season approaches, the Pizzanini is a great option for alfresco dining.

How Is It Made?
What makes the Pizzanini unique is its preparation. Freshly baked pizza dough is folded in a panini style, brushed with garlic, and stuffed with vibrant flavours. To finish it off, a sprinkle of Riserva cheese is added, creating a tasty treat that is easy to eat on the go. Each Pizzanini is crafted to deliver the comforting flavours of pizza in a convenient format that suits busy lifestyles.
Flavours to Try
The Pizzanini comes in three exciting flavour combinations that are sure to appeal to a wide range of tastes:
Tomato, Pesto and Burrata - A fresh mix of Genovese pesto, creamy burrata cheese, rocket, mixed leaves, tomatoes, and topped with Riserva cheese. This option is bright and aromatic, perfect for summer.
Prosciutto and Burrata - This flavour features layers of prosciutto and burrata, complemented by tomatoes, rocket, mixed leaves, a balsamic drizzle, and Riserva cheese, making it a fresh and vibrant choice.
Crispy Chicken Caesar - A bold take on a classic, this Pizzanini includes crispy chicken, pancetta, rocket, Caesar dressing, mixed leaves, and more Riserva cheese for that added flavour punch.
Where to Buy
The Pizzanini will first be available for delivery via Deliveroo and for click-and-collect at Zizzi restaurants starting 19th May. From 1st June, it will also be offered on popular food delivery services like Uber Eats and Just Eat, making it even easier to grab this tasty lunch option.
