Cave Exploration
Take a journey beneath the earth through the magnificent caverns to learn all about their geological formations and why lampenflora grows in caves! Why not upgrade to an Annual pass for unlimited cave visits year round for the price of less than two tickets!
Join us after 3pm for the fantastic Ultra Violet cave adventure, watch in wonder as your UV torch illuminates the calcite in the cave walls.
Take part in a quiz included in every child’s cave ticket to win a grow your own cress kit or something from our prize basket!
Gem Panning
Pan for gems in our crystal waterfall sluice and find up to 30 different types of gemstones from all around the world
Fossil Digs
Embark on a prehistoric adventure with our enthralling Fossil experience! Join one of our captivating team in our comfortable cinema for an hour of exhilarating discovery. Marvel at our remarkable collection of fossils and gems, unearthed from the depths of time. Saturday morning SEN session: Come and enjoy a more relaxed fossil experience with Cavewoman. These sessions are designed with SEN in mind. They are geared towards people who prefer to stay away from the crowds and go at a gentler pace in our quieter times.
Science of the Sun
We have a special family event dedicated to our nearest star, the Sun! Without it life on earth would be impossible and now the summer is here it’s the perfect time to celebrate. We will use special telescopes to safely view the sun (weather permitting) under the supervision of experienced astronomer, Richard Darn. We will also teach you colourful and fun facts about our very own star.
