Charm Thai Cafe

Charm Thai Cafe is an independent Thai restaurant in the heart of Doncaster, just a few minutes' walk from the Wool Market and Frenchgate. Run by head chef Rin, who has spent over 10 years cooking Thai food across South Yorkshire, the kitchen turns out restaurant-quality Thai cooking in a relaxed, intimate setting with just five tables.

Every dish is cooked to order. Spring rolls, dumplings and fish cakes are made fresh in-house, sauces are prepped daily by Rin and finished in the wok per order, and the curry pastes are imported direct from Thailand - the same ones used in Bangkok kitchens. Pad Thai sauce is mixed fresh for each plate, the satay sauce is homemade, and stocks are made from scratch.

The menu covers Thai favourites including Pad Thai, green curry, tom yum, pad kra pao, mango sticky rice and Rin's signature Dark Noodle Soup. There's an extensive vegan and vegetarian section, halal meat options (note: pork is not halal), and clearly marked spice levels so you can have it as gentle or as fiery as you like.

Charm Thai Cafe offers dine-in, takeaway and local delivery (£2 within 8 miles). Reservations are welcome. BYO with no corkage. Card payments accepted in person and over the phone for collection or delivery orders. Open Monday and Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm to 9pm. Closed Tuesday and Sunday.
