This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive <strong>Sales Estimator</strong> who enjoys working closely with customers, interpreting technical information, and delivering accurate quotations in a fast-paced environment.<br /><br />As a <strong>Sales Estimator</strong>, you will play a key role in supporting customers from initial enquiry through to quotation, helping to secure new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.<br /><br /><strong>The Role</strong><br /><br />The successful <strong>Sales Estimator</strong> will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>Managing customer enquiries via telephone and email, gathering all relevant technical information and specifications.</li><li>Reading and interpreting engineering and technical drawings.</li><li>Analysing labour, material, and production time requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.</li><li>Liaising with suppliers to obtain material pricing and raising purchase orders through internal systems.</li><li>Preparing and submitting quotations using estimating software.</li><li>Following up submitted quotations and obtaining feedback where opportunities have not been successful.</li><li>Supporting business growth by developing relationships with existing and prospective customers.</li><li>Maintaining accurate records of quotations, feedback, and customer interactions.</li><li>Updating material and operational costs within the estimating system.</li><li>Working to deadlines to support production schedules and customer expectations.</li><li>Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and passed to relevant departments.</li><li>Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures and company standards.</li></ul> <p><br /><strong>What We're Looking For</strong><br /><br />To be successful in this <strong>Sales Estimator</strong> position, you will have:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or industrial environment.</li><li>The ability to read and understand technical drawings.</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>A proactive approach to generating and securing new business opportunities.</li><li>Good IT skills and experience using estimating or ERP systems.</li></ul> <p><br /><strong>What's on Offer?</strong></p> <ul> <li>£32,000 - £36,000 per annum</li><li>Additional annual leave</li><li>Casual dress</li><li>Company events</li><li>Company pension scheme</li><li>Cycle to Work scheme</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>On-site parking</li><li>Private dental insurance</li><li>Private medical insurance</li></ul> <p><br />This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated <strong>Sales Estimator</strong> looking to join a growing and supportive business where your contribution will have a direct impact on continued success.<br /><br />Apply today with your CV or contact Helen for a confidential discussion.
