Head of Projects
<p>We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of Projects to lead the successful delivery of projects from point of sale through to completion within a fast paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle, ensuring operational excellence, strong client relationships, and high-quality delivery standards across all projects.</p> <p>The successful candidate will manage a small team of Project Managers/Coordinators while acting as the central link between sales, operations, clients, and delivery teams. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day project execution.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Oversee all projects from handover after sale through to final delivery and completion.</li><li>Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.</li><li>Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions.</li><li>Manage project priorities and resource allocation across multiple concurrent projects.</li><li>Maintain clear visibility of project pipelines, statuses, and delivery milestones.</li><li>Lead, mentor, and support a small team of Project Managers and Coordinators.</li><li>Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning.</li><li>Act as a senior point of contact for clients throughout project delivery.</li><li>Build strong working relationships with internal departments including Sales, Finance, and Operations.</li><li>Ensure smooth project handovers from the sales team into delivery.</li><li>Manage client expectations and ensure excellent customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.</li></ul> <p>The Ideal Candidate</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in a senior project management or project delivery leadership role.</li><li>Experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously from sale to completion.</li><li>Strong people management experience, ideally managing small teams.</li><li>Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.</li><li>Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and project profitability.</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficiency with project management tools and reporting systems.</li></ul>
