Air Freight Operator (Import & Export) Location: Bradford Salary: Up to £37,000 (Dependent on experience) Position: Full-Time, Permanent We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading global freight forwarder based in Bradford. They are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Air Freight Operator to join their busy international logistics team. In this role, you will take full ownership of both air import and export files, ensuring absolute compliance, swift turnaround times, and top-tier client service What You'll Be Doing End-to-End Coordinatio n: Manage the daily execution of air freight import and export shipments from initial booking through to final delivery and clearance Documentation & Custom s: Prepare and process crucial aviation documentation, including Air Waybills (AWBs), MAWBs, HAWBs, manifests, and customs declaration Carrier & Agent Liaiso n: Coordinate closely with airlines, handling agents, hauliers, overseas offices, and customs authorities to ensure timely movement of cargo Client Relationship Managemen t: Act as a key point of contact for accounts, providing real-time tracking updates, proactive problem-solving, and resolving operational issues smoothly Financial Integrit y: Complete accurate job costing, handle billing and invoicing, and maximize file profitability What Our Client Is Looking For Experien ce: Proven experience working in Air Freight Operations (covering Imports, Exports, or both) within a freight forwarding environment is essential Technical Knowled ge: A strong grasp of air freight procedures, airline schedules, Incoterms, and customs compliance System Sav vy: Experience using freight management software (such as CargoWise One or similar) is highly desirable Mindset : An analytical problem-solver who thrives under pressure in a fast-paced environment and possesses exceptional attention to detail iCommunicati on: Strong communication skills to effectively manage relationships with internal teams, external partners, and global clients What's On Offer Competitive salary up to £37,000 depending on experience Direct path for career progression within a massive global network Generous holiday allowance and a comprehensive company benefits package
